Tinubu’s Road to 2027 Kicks Off: Presidential Coalition Council Launches Nationwide Mobilization
The Presidential Coalition Council (PCC) launched its nationwide re-election mobilization campaign in Ibadan, Oyo State, last Saturday, urging Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu for a second term.
The Message: Finish What We Started
PCC National Coordinator, Abiodun Faleke (represented by Abiodun Mafe), conveyed President Tinubu’s message, assuring party faithful of victory in 2027 and urging them to intensify efforts to spread the “gospel of good governance.” The core argument? A second term is necessary to consolidate the far-reaching reforms initiated by his administration.
A crucial call was made: “Keep your Permanent Voter’s Cards safe, and if you do not have one, go and register immediately.”
Strategic Start in the “City of Votes”
Abdullah Enilolobo of the PCC team highlighted the strategic importance of Ibadan, noting it accounts for nearly half of Oyo State’s votes.
Enilolobo defended the administration’s tough economic decisions—the removal of the fuel subsidy, the floating of the naira, and a new tax regime—calling them necessary measures to stabilize an economy he described as being “on the verge of collapse” before 2023.
Grassroots Support and Unity
The event, held at Christ Apostolic Church Grammar School, Adesola, saw local and national APC stalwarts gather. Grassroots efforts are also gaining steam, with Rep. Remi Oseni organizing local mobilization through his Committee of Friends to energize the party’s base, especially in high-turnout rural areas.
The PCC members present urged collective work to secure APC victories in both the upcoming Oyo State governorship election and the 2027 presidential poll, marking an early and determined start to the campaign cycle.
