‘Nigeria’s leaders should apologize to Abacha’s family for insecurity to end’ – Prophet

Prophet Haruna Musa, the General Overseer of Kingdom Dominion Outreach Ministry International (Grace Land Church), has issued a striking mandate to Nigeria’s political class. Speaking to journalists in Jos, Plateau State, Musa claimed he received a direct message from God Almighty, instructing that the nation’s leaders ranging from former Head of State Gen. Abdulsalami Abubakar all the way up to the present administration must publicly apologize to the family of the late military ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha. This act of apology, according to the prophet, is the necessary spiritual condition to finally quell the pervasive insecurity currently plaguing Nigeria.

Prophet Musa was adamant that the current security challenges are linked to this unaddressed spiritual grievance. He declared that those with a hand in the nation’s insecurity and the bloodshed of innocent Nigerians “will go down,” suggesting a divine reckoning is imminent. The core of his message revolves around the belief that Gen. Abacha’s spirit is “not resting” and is actively “fighting every leader that enters Aso Rock.” This spiritual battle, he claims, is why successive administrations have struggled to find lasting solutions to the nation’s problems.

The prophet further elaborated on the necessity of the apology, claiming that Abacha, who died in office, was unjustly “lied against” by subsequent leaders, who are now “refusing his family freedom.” Musa argued that for any leader entering Aso Rock to succeed in governing Nigeria, they must first “appease Abacha’s spirit” and “embrace his family.” To achieve a complete spiritual reconciliation, he additionally admonished leaders to allow Alhaji Mohammed Abacha or any other member of the Abacha family to be “part of government.”

The urgent call from Prophet Musa is a plea to the nation’s leadership to prioritize this unique form of reconciliation. He stressed that by seeking peace with the Abacha family and involving them in governance, the spirit of the late general would finally be able to rest. While many citizens and political observers may view this as an unusual request, the prophet’s message underscores the often-cited spiritual dimension that many Nigerians believe plays a crucial role in the nation’s political and social stability.
