2026: Accord party endorses Governor Ademola Adeleke as candidate
The Accord Party in Osun State is set to officially endorse Governor Ademola Adeleke as its candidate for the 2026 governorship election.The announcement will be made during the Osun State Accord Party governorship primary, scheduled for today, Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Osun State party chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, disclosed the plan on Wednesday in Osogbo, noting that Governor Adeleke is the party’s sole candidate.
He also stated that approximately 150 delegates are expected to participate in the primary.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke is our sole candidate for the 2026 governorship election. We are declaring him today. As you know, he formally defected to our party in November and we publicly announced him on Tuesday.“
“The delegates are five, drawn from each of the 30 local government areas of the state,” Akande stated.
