Actress Nkechi Blessing reveals she tracked and arrested the lady who took her unedited gym photo
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has finally shared the real story behind the unedited gym photo that went viral in September and triggered heavy body-shaming across social media.
The picture, which showed her seated with her phone while her stomach protruded, spread widely online and sparked days of trolling. At the time, Nkechi dismissed the backlash, saying she was at the gym to stay healthy, not to impress anyone.
But during a fresh interview on the Honest Bunch podcast, she revealed she didn’t just “leave it to God” as people assumed — she actually confronted the woman who secretly took the photo.
According to Nkechi, the lady who snapped her was flaunting her surgically enhanced body at the gym, yet chose to mock her natural figure.
“You get BBL, you dey snap me wey get natural body. Are you stupid, sis?” she said on the podcast.
She added that the gym initially tried to protect the culprit by withholding her information, but Nkechi still managed to trace her, and eventually had her arrested.
“I don’t like stress. Instead of fighting online, I handled it privately. I got her arrested, of course,” she said, noting that her silence during the online dragging was because she was pursuing the case legally.
