Terrorists invade Catholic School in Niger, kidnap students, staff
Terrorists have raided St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in Papiri community, Agwara LGA of Niger State, abducting several students and staff. The exact number of victims is still unknown.
A church source confirmed the attack to Daily Trust but said the school is still compiling its records.
“Yes, the incident happened, but I can’t give details yet. The church will issue an official statement later today,” the source explained.
Attempts to reach the Niger State Police Command were unsuccessful, as the command’s spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, did not respond to calls.
The latest attack comes just days after bandits invaded a government school in Kebbi State, kidnapping at least 25 students.
