”Blood of Nigerians on your head” — Mr Macaroni blasts Tinubu
Popular Nigerian comedian and social activist, Debo Adebayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has taken a swipe at President Bola Tinubu over the worsening security challenges facing the country. In a strongly worded post on his X account on Friday, Macaroni said the repeated abduction of schoolchildren shows clear “incompetence” in the President’s handling of national security.
His reaction followed a fresh attack in Niger State, where armed terrorists invaded St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area, and kidnapped students and staff. While the exact number of abducted persons has yet to be confirmed, the school is still compiling its records. The Kotangora Catholic Diocese in Niger State has already issued a statement acknowledging the incident.
This latest kidnapping comes just days after another attack in Kebbi State, where at least 25 students were taken from a government school. With multiple large-scale abductions happening within days of each other, Mr Macaroni argued that the government is failing in its primary responsibility to protect citizens.
His comments echo growing public frustration as communities across Nigeria continue to face terrorism, mass abductions, and rising insecurity, with many calling for stronger and more effective interventions from the federal government.
He wrote: “President Tinubu, you said you had all the answers to end Terrorism!! You said any President who could not protect the people is incompetent!
“Any school child that has been abducted is a result of your incompetence!! The blood of Nigerians being shed as an act of terrorism is on your head!!!.”
