”As long as MNK remains in jail you cannot & will never get up to 10,000 votes in South-East come 2027” – Cubana Chiefpriest

Businessman and nightlife influencer, Cubana Chief Priest, has publicly warned President Bola Tinubu that the 2027 election could become extremely challenging in the South-East if IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu remains in prison. His reaction followed the Federal High Court ruling in Abuja that sentenced Kanu to life imprisonment.

In a strongly worded Instagram post, Cubana Chief Priest said political tension in the region is worsening and that support for the President is rapidly fading. He declared that Tinubu would struggle to secure even minimal votes in the South-East unless Kanu is released.

He also criticized South-East ministers, accusing them of failing to communicate the emotional and political reality of the region to the presidency. According to him, none of them has enough influence to rebuild public trust.

Cubana Chief Priest further called on Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma to step in and push for Kanu’s release, warning that the governor risks losing relevance in 2027 if the issue is ignored.
