Businessman Isaac Fayose has stirred up social media after releasing a blunt and highly personal birthday message to his elder brother, former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, who just turned 65.
In a video posted online, Isaac didn’t hold back. He prayed that the “spirit of selfishness” he claims his brother carries would disappear as he enters a new year.
Isaac went on to recall past grievances, including a moment from 2002 when their late sister, Bimpe, allegedly sold her land in Maryland, Lagos, for ₦3 million to help Ayo secure his PDP ticket.
He accused the former governor of betraying everyone who contributed to his rise, saying even his siblings and their mother were absent at his recent birthday celebration because they were not invited.
Isaac also faulted Ayo for forgetting the political party and people who made his success possible.
His closing line was a pointed hope: that at 65, Ayo Fayose would “turn a new leaf” and drop what he described as long-standing selfish tendencies.
