Regina Daniels told me she was 21 during our first meeting – Ned Nwoko dismisses claim of marrying actress at 17
Delta North Senator, Ned Nwoko, has refuted claims that he married his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, when she was 17.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Nwoko said Regina told him she was 21 at the time they met and even presented her INEC voter’s card as proof. According to him, the card showed she was born on October 10, 1998.
“It has come to my attention that false claims are being circulated by Regina, suggesting that I married her when she was 17 years old. These claims are entirely untrue,” Nwoko stated. “When we first met, she told me she was 21 and presented her voter’s card. I’ve kept that document ever since.”
Their marriage has recently been rocked by controversy, with Regina accusing Nwoko of domestic violence, while the senator alleged that she uses hard drugs and needs rehabilitation. The actress, however, claimed it was Nwoko who introduced her to the substances.
