Anambra Governorship Election: Soludo Re-Elected

Incumbent Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has been re-elected as Governor of Anambra State following the declaration of results from all 21 local government areas by INEC.

A total of 584,054 votes were cast in the election on Saturday, November 8. Soludo won decisively with 422,664 votes, while his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 99,445 votes. Other candidates included ADC with 8,208 votes and PDP with 1,401 votes.

The results were officially announced by Prof. Edogah Omoregie, State Collation Officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, on Sunday at the INEC headquarters in Awka.
