We will defeat terrorism –President Tinubu assures

President Bola Tinubu has pledged to dismantle criminal networks threatening Nigeria’s peace and to deepen collaboration with international partners in the fight against terrorism.

Speaking before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Thursday at the Aso Rock Villa, Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration is engaging world leaders to restore security and stability across the country.

“We are engaging the world diplomatically, and we assure all of you that we will defeat terrorism,” the President said.

His remarks come in response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern,” which the Federal Government has described as a misrepresentation of the nation’s security realities.

Tinubu also highlighted the government’s growing international confidence, citing the $2.3 billion Eurobond oversubscription as evidence of faith in Nigeria’s economic direction.

“Despite political headwinds and fears, we will continue to engage with our partners. The task ahead is immense, but we are resolved to move forward with unity and purpose,” he added.

The President reaffirmed that Nigeria remains steadfast in its pursuit of peace, stability, and prosperity.
