Seyi Tinubu Donates ₦20 Million to Sarah Martins’ Foundation After Public Incident
Nollywood actress and philanthropist Sarah Martins has received a ₦20 million donation from Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to support her Golden Heart Foundation’s feeding initiative for underprivileged children in Lagos State.
The donation follows an incident in which Lagos Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC/KAI) officials apprehended Martins for allegedly cooking and distributing food in unauthorised public areas, a violation of state hygiene and safety laws. Martins claimed she sustained minor injuries during the confrontation.
In a statement on Instagram, Martins expressed deep gratitude to Seyi Tinubu, announcing that his financial support would help her foundation comply with regulations and expand its humanitarian outreach.
Sharing the news, she wrote:
“From disgrace to grace! From the office of the President, our philanthropic youth leader, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, just supported my NGO with ₦20,000,000. Nigerians, please help me thank him. He also promised to take my free food charity outreach to the next level.”
According to Martins, the funds will go toward establishing a properly equipped facility that meets legal and sanitary standards, ensuring her mission to feed Lagos’ most vulnerable continues sustainably and safely.
