2027: Those planning to rig Abia guber should write their wills before election results – Otti
Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has warned that anyone planning to rig the 2027 governorship election in the state should “write their wills,” insisting that only God’s will and the people’s mandate will determine the outcome.
Speaking during the October edition of Alex Otti Speaks to Abians in Umuahia, Otti was reacting to a comment by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, who boasted that the APC would take over Abia in 2027.
Otti said he was unbothered by the remark, stressing that Kalu had every right to contest but must play by the rules. He described Kalu as a friend and younger brother, adding that he had forgiven his criticisms but urged him not to disrupt the peace in the state.
The governor also reaffirmed his loyalty to the Labour Party, dismissing rumours of a planned defection to the APC.
“I have heard that some people around him say oh, they must take over this State, they must write results but the only advice I have for them is that if they truly want to write results, they should write something else before that time.
“You know what it is? Their will”, Otti said
