I fell in love with the president when he removed fuel subsidy — Gov Peter Mbah
Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has revealed that he “fell in love” with President Bola Tinubu following the president’s decisive economic reforms announced on his inauguration day, May 29, 2023.
Speaking on Tuesday after officially defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mbah said Tinubu’s removal of fuel subsidy and unification of the foreign exchange market convinced him of the president’s courage and vision for Nigeria.
“I fell in love with this president from the day he made the announcement to remove fuel subsidy and unified the foreign exchange market essentially.
“This is because, given my background as somebody who plays in the oil and gas sector, I’ve also written features in the past on why it has become necessary for the subsidy to go.
“I enjoy a very good relationship with the President, no doubt about that,” he stated.
