Yakubu hands over to Agbamuche as INEC Acting Chair
Professor Mahmood Yakubu has handed over to May Agbamuche as the Acting National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Agbamuche, the oldest serving National Commissioner, assumes the role following Yakubu’s announcement during a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners at INEC headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
Yakubu urged commissioners and directors to support Agbamuche pending the appointment of a substantive chairman.
