This one choke me oo – Joe Igbokwe questions the demolition of some plazas at Lagos Trade Fair
Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has expressed concern over the demolition of several buildings in the Trade Fair area.
According to reports, operatives of the state taskforce, accompanied by security agents, pulled down 19 structures described as “illegal developments” erected without statutory approval, as well as defective buildings and those built on road setbacks and drainage channels.
Reacting on his Facebook page, Igbokwe said he was shocked by the exercise and questioned the rationale behind it. He also revealed that he, former Anambra governor Peter Obi, and the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah serve as patrons of the market.
