80% of men marry women that can hold them down not women they like – Nigerian man says
A Nigerian man has stirred heated conversation online after claiming that most men don’t end up marrying the women they truly like.
According to him, “80% of men do not marry women they like. They marry women that can hold them down.”
He explained that while a man might be attracted to or admire a particular woman, when it comes to choosing a wife, he often settles for someone whose character or qualities seem better suited to keeping a stable home.
The man linked this mindset to rising divorce cases, arguing that when those “qualities” change over time, men find it easier to walk away. In his view, if men married women they genuinely liked, divorce wouldn’t come so quickly.
