“No Nollywood Actress Can Afford a G-Wagon from Acting Alone” – Actor, Yemi Solade

Nollywood veteran, Yemi Solade, has stirred conversations again with a bold claim about the realities of the film industry.

In a recent chat on the Honest Bunch podcast, Solade argued that none of his female colleagues could realistically afford a luxury ride like the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, popularly known as the G-Wagon, strictly from acting.

According to him, the earnings from Nollywood are not nearly enough to fund such extravagant purchases. “It is possible from producing but not from acting, except they have side hustle, because how much are they going to pay you for acting, 50 million?” he quizzed.

The actor went on to add that in many cases, such high-priced cars may have come as gifts. “Then again, some are gifts, I want to believe so. Yes now, dem fit gift person G-Wagon,” he stated.
