DSS gives Sowore one week ultimatum to delete post against Tinubu
The Department of State Services (DSS) has given human rights activist Omoyele Sowore a one-week ultimatum to remove a social media post it deemed “false, malicious, and inciting” against President Bola Tinubu.
In a letter dated September 7, the DSS alleged that Sowore made criminal and derogatory statements in an X post on August 26, calling the President a criminal and accusing him of misleading Nigerians by claiming corruption no longer exists under his administration.
The DSS warned that failure to delete the post would compel it to take all legal measures to protect national security and public order, adding that the remarks risk provoking public unrest, disunity, and potential insurrection.
