
Nigeria Immigration Service Increases Passport Fees, Effective September 1
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced a significant hike in the cost of Nigerian international passports.
According to the agency, the 32-page passport with a 5-year validity will now cost N100,000, up from N26,000. Meanwhile, the 64-page passport with a 10-year validity will be priced at N200,000.
The new fees will take effect from September 1, 2025, the NIS said in a statement, adding that the adjustment is part of ongoing efforts to improve passport services and enhance operational efficiency.
Applicants are advised to plan ahead for the revised charges ahead of the September implementation.
