PDP Zoning Committee Backs South for 2027 Presidential Ticket

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that its 2027 presidential ticket will be zoned to the South.

National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, revealed this to journalists after the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. He explained that the decision was based on the report submitted by the Zoning Committee, chaired by Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.

Ologunagba added that the party also resolved to maintain the current National Working Committee zoning arrangement for its November elective convention.

“NEC recommended that the North and South should retain their current NWC positions.

“NEC also resolved that since the National Chairman of the party is zoned to the North, the PDP 2027 Presidential ticket is hereby zoned to the South.”
