Police finally returned my stolen AI Ray-Ban sunglasses – Sowore
The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has returned the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ray-Ban sunglasses to activist politician Omoyele Sowore.
Sowore had alleged that the sunglasses were stolen during a July 21, 2025 protest by retired police officers at the Force Headquarters. The demonstration was held to demand better welfare and retirement benefits for Nigerian police personnel. He had accused one Aku Victor Chiemerie of taking the glasses.
In a post on X, Sowore confirmed that the sunglasses have now been returned to him.
“Today, the Nigeria Police Force returned my stolen Ray-Ban Meta eyeglasses, stolen by the National Thief, Aku Victor Chiemerie, to me,” he wrote.
