Any threat against Peter Obi is a threat against all of Us- Atiku Abubakar
Former Vice-President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, issued a stern warning on Tuesday afternoon, stating that any threat against his former presidential running mate, Peter Obi, is a threat against ‘all of us.
Abubakar conveyed this message in a concise tweet, writing:
“Let it be known that a threat against Peter Obi or any of us is a threat against ALL of us! -AA.”
These remarks from Atiku follow recent comments by Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who had cautioned Obi against visiting the state without prior security clearance.
Okpebholo alleged that a previous visit by Obi, during which he donated N15 million to a nursing school in the state, resulted in unrest and fatalities in Benin City, the state capital.
The governor’s comments subsequently drew widespread outrage and criticism.
