Marrying a man with your money is not God’s will for you – Nigerian lady advices financially stable women to avoid men who are financially unstable.

Nigerian lady Nnenna Okoronkwo has advised financially stable women against marrying men who are financially unstable.

In a post shared on social media, she cautioned that while ₦10–₦20 million may seem like a lot, it can quickly disappear if used to shoulder a man’s financial responsibilities in marriage. She argued that any man who cannot handle the basic costs of marriage is not ready for the commitment.

She wrote; “Marriage is serious business,” she wrote, urging women to seek partners who understand responsibility rather than becoming breadwinners for unprepared men. Instead of using their money to fund a man’s life, she advised women to spend it on self-care or travel, adding, “Loving him for who he is should be his mother’s job, not yours.”

“10 or 20 million naira might seem huge to you as a single lady, well it is, just enough to afford you a quality life at least but don’t think it’s enough to marry a man, once external responsibilities falls on your 20m, e don finish o! You will suffer my love,” she wrote. 

“A man who can’t afford to do the basic things to wife you is not someone you should be considering for marriage, marriage is serious business and should be treated as such, you need a man that understands responsibility not an oriaku with moustache, a princess with gbola , you deserve better sis, marrying a man with your money is not God’s will for you.

“Use the money and book a trip to Qatar or maybe Mauritius or just lodge at marriott just eat your money and leave unoka for him mama, it’s his lovely mother’s responsibility to love him for who he is not yours sis.”
