‘Hold thy labour, it is the devil you know’ – Shehu Sani advices Peter obi against leaving Labour Party
Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has publicly advised Peter Obi against leaving the Labour Party (LP).
Obi, who joined the Labour Party before the 2023 presidential election, ran as their candidate and secured third place.Despite his insistence on remaining a member of the Labour Party, the party has been grappling with an internal crisis, with two factions vying for leadership.
Obi is reportedly associated with an opposition coalition that recently chose the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its platform.
In a birthday message to the former Anambra governor, Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna State, wrote on X:
“Happy Birthday to Mr Peter Obi. My advice, hold thy Labour, it’s the Devil you know. Don’t chase two rabbits at the same time.” Peter Obi has not yet responded to Sani’s advice.
