“What am i looking for”- Tunde Bakare denies meeting with president Tinubu

Tunde Bakare, the serving overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, has responded to public speculation regarding his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu. Bakare “insisting it was not driven by any personal or political ambition.”

Bakare, who was a contender in the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2023 presidential primaries, met with President Tinubu at his Lagos residence on June 4. This meeting garnered significant attention and sparked debate concerning its potential motives.

During a sermon at his church, Bakare refuted suggestions that he was seeking any “favours or positions from the Tinubu administration.”

He stated, “Some people still think he has gone there to settle himself. In what way have I settled myself before? What they gave me, I returned. What am I looking for?”
