I cannot sit in a room where one man dictates able-bodied adults- Dele Momodu rules out possibility of joining APC

Dele Momodu, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has ruled out the possibility of joining the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In an interview on Channels TV on Wednesday, Momodu, who has been a presidential aspirant twice, said that despite the crisis in the main opposition party, he will never join the APC.

He accused the leadership of the APC of allowing autocracy to prevail, stating that he cannot sit in a room “where one man will dictate to able-bodied adults.”

Momodu reiterated, “I definitely won’t join the APC. That one is out of the question. If I wanted to join the APC, I wouldn’t be talking to you the way I am this morning.”

He further explained his stance, stating, “I cannot sit in a room where one man will dictate to able-bodied adults who have worked all their lives and say that he is the lord of the manor.”

It is worth noting that Momodu had, on Tuesday, declared that only a coalition of political parties can wrest power from President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
