“First half, we never see anything” – Falz speaks on lack of progress in the country
Nigerian rapper and activist Folarin Falana, widely known as Falz, has given his assessment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as it recently marked its second year in office.
Falz contends that Nigeria has regressed under the current government. He emphasized that little progress has been achieved and stated that the President has the remaining two years of his term to demonstrate his effectiveness.
Speaking in a recent interview on Arise TV, Falz said, “It goes without saying, that more than anything we’ve moved backwards. There is not much progress that has been recorded. I think I remember the campaign slogan being ‘Emilokan,’ which translates to,‘it’s my turn.’’
“And now it just seems like, what were you planning of doing? We are still waiting. It’s remaining two more years. Maybe there is still a plan. But as it stands now, first half, we never see anything.”
