2027: Ask for seats, tickets, legislative roles – Aisha yesufu urges Nigerians
As a powerful coalition forms against President Bola Tinubu’s administration, prominent socio-political activist Aisha Yesufu has issued a strong call to action for Nigerians.
Top aggrieved politicians from both the North and South, including APC leader Chibuike Amaechi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, are reportedly uniting with the goal of unseating Tinubu in 2027.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu cautioned against leaving politics solely to those who can afford expensive political forms.
She implored citizens to actively participate and shape the emerging coalition, urging them to “be the drivers of the coalition. Participate in it. Call the shots! Make demands!
“Yesufu further advised Nigerians to “Ask for seats, tickets!” and to strategically focus on legislative roles while traditional politicians eye executive positions.
She emphasized the importance of citizens determining “Who do you want as your state house of assembly members, House of Representatives members, Senators,” and making these choices central to the coalition’s discussions.
Her core message remains: “Politics should not be left for people who can buy 200 million Naira forms alone.”
