Senate suspends Natasha Akpoti for six months
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has been suspended for six months.
The Senate Committee on Ethics and Public Petitions had previously proposed the suspension following allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
During Thursday’s plenary session, Senator Neda Imasuen, the committee’s chairman, recommended that her salary and staff be withheld throughout the suspension period.
