‘My Instagram account was created to scam people’ – Portable reveals
Nigerian musician Portable has admitted that he initially created his Instagram account for internet fraud.
In a conversation with content creator Egungun of Lagos, he explained that the name ‘Elizabeth Joyce’ on his profile was linked to his past attempts at online scams before rising to fame.
He stated that his dream of becoming a ‘Yahoo boy’ was halted, saying, “To be honest with you, I created an Instagram account when I wanted to learn Yahoo Yahoo (internet fraud).
“That was why I initially opened the account, but it didn’t work out. I later went back to edit the account, and removed the foreigner’s picture from it when I heard that people were looking for me online because I had become successful. Na working account.”
