Children don’t deserve beating – Bovi
Nigerian stand-up comedian, Bovi Ugboma, has expressed his disapproval of beating children as a form of discipline.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Bovi stressed that no matter the offense, children should not be subjected to physical punishment. He also condemned the practice of senior students disciplining junior students in primary and secondary schools.
“I don’t advocate for beating children. You should let children be. When you hit a kid, are you really trying to correct them or are you frustrated?” he said.
“No child should be given authority over another child in the name of ‘senior student’. It really has to stop,” he added.
