Everybody loves Jenifa: We are making N5b this year – Funke Akindele speaks on new movie

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has predicted that her upcoming movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, will gross ₦5 billion when it hits cinemas this December.

In a viral video featuring some of the film’s cast, Akindele shared her confidence that the movie will achieve the ₦5 billion milestone before the end of the year.

If the movie achieves the projected figure, it will break the record set by another Funke Akindele’s film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’, which became the first Nigerian movie to hit one billion naira.

“We are making N5 billion this year,” she said.
