It’s difficult to survive in Nigeria that is why we breed so many superstars – Tiwa Savage

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has attributed Nigeria’s growing number of entertainers to poverty and the tough conditions in the country.

Speaking on the Shopping The Sneakers podcast, Savage explained that the challenges of living in Nigeria are pushing young people to tap into their creative talents as a means of survival and expression.

“Life in Nigeria is hard,” the singer remarked, emphasizing how hardship often drives innovation and resilience among the youth.

She said, “When you come to Nigeria, you will understand why we breed so many superstars. To survive in Nigeria is something else so that’s why the artists that come out of Nigeria are just like hustlers. They are just hustling.”
