MC Oluomo elected National President of NURTW

MC Oluomo has been elected as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) during the union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference in Osogbo, Osun State. Delegates from Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti states participated in the event.

Acting National President Aliyu Issa-Ore, represented by Mrs. Adedamola Salam, confirmed that the Southwest Zone was constitutionally due to produce the next president. Alongside Oluomo, Tajudeen Agbede was elected as Vice President for the Southwest Zone, and Akeem Adeosun as a trustee.

After taking the oath of office, Oluomo called for unity and peace within the union, emphasizing his commitment to its solidarity. “I have forgiven everyone who has offended me, and I hope those I have offended can forgive me as well. This is our union, and we must all work to preserve it. We will not allow anyone to destroy our livelihood,” he stated.
