I apologize for saying ‘If you don’t pay tithe, you might not make it to heaven’ – Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has publicly apologized for his earlier statement regarding tithing and its connection to making heaven. In a recent address to his congregation, a video of which has gained attention online, Adeboye admitted to making an error in his previous remarks, where he suggested that Christians who don’t pay tithes might not enter heaven.

Clarifying his position, the respected cleric described his earlier comment as a “mistake,” explaining that it was not aligned with biblical teachings. He emphasized that the Bible does not prescribe tithing as a requirement for salvation. Instead, Pastor Adeboye pointed to peaceful and holy living as the true biblical prerequisites for entering heaven

I apologize for saying ‘If you don’t pay tithe, you might not make it to heaven I’m sorry, that’s wrong, and it’s not in the Bible. What the Bible says is ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see God’,” he said.
