Verydarkman: Bobrisky contemplates suicide amidst N15 million bribery allegation
Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has opened up about contemplating suicide amidst bribery allegations of N15 million.
The controversy began when activist and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, released an audio recording allegedly of Bobrisky offering N15 million to officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The bribe was purportedly to have money laundering charges dropped and to avoid serving jail time at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.
Bobrisky has since denied the authenticity of the audio, calling it fake. Despite this, in a recent Facebook post, he admitted to struggling with thoughts of suicide due to ongoing efforts to tarnish his reputation.
He wrote: “I have never in my life thought about suicide in my life but now is coming to my head seeing what human being are doing to their fellow human just in the name you want to bring them down by force or because you don’t like them.
“I don’t need no sympathy from anyone. People I might have need sympathy from are my late parent. But who will fight for you? Friends? Haters you won.”
