If Peter Obi is running with anyone as the Vice President or running mate, I will work against that ticket – Aisha Yesufu
Activist Aisha Yesufu has stated that she will actively oppose Peter Obi if he ever agrees to be the running mate of any politician in the 2027 general election. There have been suggestions for Obi to run as the vice-presidential candidate to a prominent Northern politician.
However, Obi has rejected this idea, though he remains open to collaborating with anyone committed to advancing Nigeria’s progress.
According to Aisha Yesufu; ‘’He should run as Vice? I am giving you my word now. Do not say I did not say it. If Peter Obi is running with anyone as the Vice President or running mate to that person, me. Aisha Yesufu,in my little capacity, I will work against that ticket. Even if I do not support any other party, it is to work against that ticket. Because what is this? Why are wee always asking the best to be second? They have turned Peter Obi to the case of the way they treat women. They always put you in the deputy position, running mate. I have said it the other time..even if it is a goat that is running for President, you people will put Aisha Yesufu as Vice because as a woman, you see me as vice and nothing else”
This gives us an opportunity to appreciate Mr Peter Obi when we contrast Aisha Yesuf’s statement or honest feeling with that of Reno Omokri on the same Peter Obi being a VP to Atiku Abubakar. Mr Omokri had confessed to the world that even though he loves Atiku he will hate and work against Atiku if he accepts Obi’s begging him Atiku and makes Obi his VP on 2027, while Aisha confessed she will work against a ticket where Obi is VP. Omokri threatened hate and destruction of Atiku while Aisha did not threaten hate or destruction of Obi. These two different responses more give us evidence about the inside makeup of heart of Omokri and Aisha: it is interesting to note that Omokri is a Christian pastor whereas Aisha is an avowed or devoted Muslim. Just make up your conclusions from this their backgrounds or religiosities, but let me say that Omokri is just a jester while Aisha is never, and this translates to Obi being good while Atiku is bad.
