Don’t arrest Sowore, he speaks for suffering Nigerians – Okai cautions DSS
Political activist Usman Okai Austin from Kogi State has warned the Department of State Services (DSS) against arresting fellow activist Omoyele Sowore. Okai stated that such an action would be seen as an attempt to silence the suffering Nigerians whom Sowore represents.
He emphasized that millions of Nigerians stand with Sowore, whose advocacy amplifies their struggles under President Tinubu’s administration.
Okai also criticized the government’s economic team for being inactive, leaving the Central Bank to handle the economic crisis alone, and urged the government to consider Sowore’s critiques instead of trying to suppress them.
He cautioned that “arresting Sowore would be a misguided attempt to silence the voices of suffering Nigerians, who will continue to demand accountability from their government.”
