FG increases prices of Nigerian Passport
The Federal Government of Nigeria has announced increased fees for obtaining a Nigerian passport.
In a statement released on Wednesday, DCI Kenneth Udo, spokesperson for the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), revealed that the new pricing will take effect from September 1, 2024.
He explained that this adjustment is aimed at preserving the quality and integrity of the Nigerian standard passport.
As per the statement, the cost of a 32-page passport booklet with a five-year validity, previously set at N35,000, will now be N50,000 and a 64-page passport booklet with a ten-year validity, previously set at N70,000 will now be N100,000
“However, the fees remain unchanged in Diaspora,” he said.
