Tinubu Govt humbled Dangote, brought him to tears – VeryDarkMan
Popular social media influencer VeryDarkMan said President Bola Tinubu’s administration has humbled Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote.
VeryDarkMan claimed that Tinubu’s administration has brought Dangote close to tears due to the challenges faced by his refinery.
On Saturday, Dangote revealed that he did not receive any incentives from the Nigerian government to build his $20 billion refinery at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.
During a meeting with the leadership of the House of Representatives, led by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu, Dangote stated that he purchased the land for the refinery for $100 million. He also alleged that several regulations imposed by the Nigerian government have hindered the refinery’s functionality.
Reacting in a video, VeryDarkMan said: “Tinubu’s regime brought Africa’s richest man, Dangote close to tears during an interview, the economy is so bad that Dangote was reminiscing when his friend cautioned him against investing in Nigeria.
“I watched the interview where he said he bought the land for the refinery with $100,000 million. My question to the Nigerian government is that when he was building the refinery, why wasn’t he told that there was no crude oil for him? After building the refinery, you told him no crude oil is in Delta State, Edo, Imo, Akwa Ibom, and so on.
“Even with him going to Brazil to source crude oil, the high and mighty informed those there that he had no licence, and now he wants to sell it. But the issue is that the money he claimed to have used in building the refinery is public funds and not his personal money. “
