Timi Dakolo’s Great Nation would have made a better national Anthem – Adekunle Gold
Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has expressed that his colleague Timi Dakolo’s song, “Great Nation,” would have been a better choice for the national anthem than the old anthem to which the country has reverted.
President Bola Tinubu signed the National Anthem Bill 2024 into law on Wednesday, reinstating the old anthem, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee.”
In response, Adekunle Gold questioned why the authorities did not consider adopting Timi Dakolo’s “Great Nation” as the new national anthem.
On his X handle, he wrote: “No one thought Timi Dakolo’s Great Nation makes a better anthem?”
