I pray that Atiku steps down for Obi, so that 2027 would be an easy job for APC re-election – Lauretta Onochie

Lauretta Onochie, a former Media Aide to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari, expressed on Saturday her hope that former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will step aside for his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, in the 2027 election.

Onochie believes that Atiku stepping down for Obi would facilitate President Bola Tinubu’s reelection.

This is coming after Atiku stated that he won’t hesitate to step down for Obi if there is a merger and the party decides it’s the turn of the South East.

Posting on X, Onochie wrote: “Our Father and our God. Yes, it’s me, your son. I pray that Atiku steps down for Obi, so that 2027 would be an easy job for APC re-election

“You know I never ask you for anything because you are a responsible father who provides for me, always. Thank you for answered prayer.”
