”Monogamy has made men pocketable sized objects” – Nigerian polygamy advocate says
John-Paul Ugwu, a proponent of polygamy in Nigeria, has argued that the prevalence of monogamy has diminished men, likening them to “pocket-sized objects” susceptible to being taken by women.
According to him, the limitations imposed by monogamy restrict men’s freedom within relationships, rendering them vulnerable to being controlled or manipulated by their partners. He suggests that embracing polygamy could afford men greater autonomy and status within the dynamics of marriage and relationships.
