The Nation needs healing and Nnamdi Kanu will help achieve that – COSEYL tells FG, calls for the IPOB leader’s release
The Coalition of South East Youth leaders COSEYL asserts that releasing Nnamdi Kanu, leader of IPOB, is crucial to addressing the security crisis in the Southeast. According to COSEYL’s President General, Goodluck Ibem, Kanu’s detention by the DSS perpetuates violence in the region, causing hardship and hindering economic growth.
They argue that Kanu’s continued incarceration exacerbates insecurity, leading to widespread suffering and impeding the region’s prosperity, as evidenced by the disruption of economic activities due to sit-at-home orders.
“We call on the Federal Government led by President Tinubu to look carefully and do the needful by releasing Nnamdi Kanu in order to restore the confidence of the people in the region.
“The nation urgently needs healing and the release of Nnamdi Kanu will help achieve that healing which is currently lacking”, he added.
