The Military is not enough, Bandits attack areas where there is absence of Military – Minister of Defence, Badaru
Muhammad Badaru, the Minister of Defence, has revealed the latest tactics employed by bandits in the northern region of Nigeria.
Badaru disclosed that bandits are now targeting areas where military presence is lacking.
Speaking to reporters at the Jaji Military Cantonment in Kaduna, he elaborated on how bandits exploit the absence of military personnel.
Despite these challenges, Badaru affirmed that the military remains committed to combating the bandits, continuing their efforts to diminish their activities.
According to Badaru: “The military is not enough, what the bandits do is take advantage of soft targets.
“They find out where there is absence of the military, they attack and run to the bushes.”
Badaru’s narration of insufficient soldiers is not new as previous military and defence chiefs had expressed similar views.
