Tanker crushes fresh Abia State Polytechnic graduate after clearance

A recent graduate of Abia State Polytechnic, Aba, has tragically lost her life.

Miss Mary Ogechi Ezekiel, who had earned a first-class degree in accounting from the Polytechnic, was crushed to death on Tuesday, March 5, by a fast-moving tanker in front of the institution.

Having exchanged pleasantries with her peers and expressing excitement about her upcoming NYSC mobilization, Ogechi was struck by a tricycle while attempting to cross the road. Before she could recover, she was then hit by a speeding truck, as reported by a source on Facebook.

Ogechi, who had overcome challenges and was supported by her hardworking mother, had received a scholarship for a post-graduate course from an organization before her untimely demise.

In response to her tragic death, enraged students from Abia State Polytechnic took to the streets, surrounding the tanker involved in the accident.

Graphic photos and videos from the scene show her in a pool of blood, wearing the clothes and shoes she had been pictured in just moments earlier.
