Question your children’s source of wealth – Kanayo O Kanayo tells parents

Veteran Nollywood actor, Kanayo O Kanayo, has cautioned parents about accepting monetary gifts from their children without investigating their source. This warning was issued during a recent event, which was subsequently shared on social media.

In a widely circulated video clip, Kanayo stressed the importance of parents questioning their children about the origins of their possessions. He expressed concern that the lax attitude of parents in this regard could potentially foster corrupt tendencies in their offspring.

Kanayo advised parents to exercise caution when receiving expensive gifts from their children, particularly if the children are not engaged in significant activities that could warrant such generosity.

“Your daughter is 20, she is using a phone of N1.5 m, then she gives you N100,000 and you fail to ask questions about the source. You wouldn’t live long.

“That is what is killing a lot of parents. Your son who is not working returns home with some money or a car, and you do not ask questions. I’m warning you,” he said.
