Governor declares 24-hour curfew in Plateau LG

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Mangu Local Government Area due to worsening security conditions.

The decision, made in consultation with security agencies, restricts movement to essential duties only. The governor urged citizens, particularly Mangu residents, to comply and provide information to restore peace.

Despite government efforts, he expressed concern about persistent insecurity, sympathizing with victims’ families. The curfew will be reviewed once the security situation improves.
