I have Nigerian roots, from Oyo Kingdom – Ghanaian artist, Stonebwoy

Ghanaian singer Livingstone Etse Satekla, widely known as Stonebwoy, disclosed that he has Nigerian roots. Hailing from the Ewe tribe in Ghana, he asserted that his ancestors originated from the historic Oyo Kingdom in Nigeria.

Stonebwoy also asserted that the Ewe tribe were the initial inhabitants of Ilesha in Osun State during a recent conversation with the prominent influencer, Ola of Lagos.

Speaking in Pidgin, Stonebwoy said, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba.”
